I've tried to add compatibility with the mod Rubber Addon (https://content.minetest.net/packages/biochemist/mcl_rubber/) in a bit of a hackey way, and I didn't check if the mod "tree tapper" works similarly to the tree tapper in your mod. Do you think a compatibility is possible? Mcl Rubber is used in other mods, so it would be nice to have more compatibility.

Compatibility with other mods is definitely something I would like to have. Compatiblity with mcl_rubber seems simple enough that it could be added soon. Treetap is used via pressing the use button while pointing at rubber tree block with resin.
